Interview with Bill Murray's PR Lady. by editors

Last week, Zak Block, editor-in-chief of (the) Squawk Back, was allowed to conduct a brief interview with one of Bill Murray's public relations representatives, a Ms. Shilo Goldfarb.

ZAK BLOCK

How was your weekend?

BILL MURRAY'S PR LADY

Very well, and thanks for asking: I spent Sunday night watching Mad Dog and Glory for the fifth time, with my boyfriend.

ZB

Oh?

BMPRL

Yes, it's among our favorite films. A little known nineties gem from, believe it or not, John McNaughton, director of the cult classic Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. In quite the surprising, but nevertheless refreshing, turn against type, Bill Murray plays Frank Milo: a ruthless career criminal with dreams of becoming a stand-up comedian.

ZB

I've been led to understand that your client, Bill Murray, may receive a second Academy Award nomination for his portrayal of Franklin Delano Roosevelt in Hyde Park on Hudson...

BMPRL

I'm afraid I can't speak to such a claim; but Bill Murray would be honored if the Academy should bestow upon him, at the least, a nomination, for his soulful and nuanced characterization of one of the  most beloved figures in American history; a performance easily transcending the doleful trappings of mere mimicry and, in its strongest passages, recalling Murray's iconic contributions to films like Lost in Translation, and the gravely underappreciated Broken Flowers.

ZB

Anyway, I'd like to thank you again for taking the time to speak with me. I've been a fan of Bill Murray ever since I saw Groundhog Day when I was ten years old.

BMPRL

Never heard of it.

ZB

Well, I'm sure if Mr. Murray were here, he'd want to discuss his passion for golf...

BMPRL

...

ZB

...uh...

BMPRL

...

ZB

Any closing remarks?

BMPRL

Yes... Bill Murray will be taken seriously.
